James was born in the Forest of Dean and he's spent most of his life writing and drawing. He studied Zoology at university and after graduating he moved to Ireland. From there he travelled around the UK living in Newcastle, Swansea and Cheltenam, some of the time living on a narrowboat.Writer and artist James Norbury began illustrating the adventures of Big Panda and Tiny Dragon, inspired by Buddhist philosophy and spirituality, to share the ideas that have helped him through the most difficult times, in the hope they can help others too. Big Panda and Tiny Dragon embark on a journey through the seasons of the year together. They get lost, as many of us do. Hartverwarmend boek dat je zeker een hart onder de riem kan geven. Het is een aanrader om te lezen wanneer je het even moeilijk hebt. For me, it's the art that gives the musings that little extra boost. I mean, look at these two cuties: While the drawings have the charm of Winnie-the-Pooh, the captions have the depth of ancient proverbs' GUARDIAN However I think what works so well with this book and in my eyes sets it apart are the characters of the Panda and Dragon - they are so to take to heart that their simple observations rather than being saccharin sweet are almost innocent in their delivery.
